Youth projects for young people with additional needs

YC Hertfordshire runs projects across Hertfordshire specifically for young people with learning disabilities up to their 25th birthday.

96 Shenley Road Youth Projects, Borehamwood

There are two YC Hertfordshire youth projects at 96 Shenley Road for young people with learning disabilities. 13-17 year olds with mild to moderate learning disabilities can come along every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and there is a separate project for young adults aged 18-24 with mild learning disabilities on Mondays between 7 and 9pm. You'll get to spend time with other young people in a safe and relaxing environment. The projects are run by trained and supportive youth workers in YC Hertfordshire's Hertsmere Team and you can develop new interests, participate in fun activities and learn new life skills.

Breakout Youth Project, Hatfield

The YC Hertfordshire Breakout Project for Young Adults with Learning Disabilities is for 18-24-year-olds with mild to moderate learning disabilities in the Welwyn Hatfield area. It's a place where you can make friends, learn new skills, relax and have fun.

Creative Spark Youth Project, Hemel Hempstead

Creative Spark is a music and media project for young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Run by YC Hetfordshire at the state-of-the-art XC Music and Media Studios, the project enables young people to get involved with creating and recording music, photography, film-making and animation.

Focus Youth Project, Waltham Cross

The YC Hertfordshire Focus Youth Project is an exciting youth project for young people with learning disabilities. If you are aged 13-24 and interested in playing sports, cooking, arts & crafts, music-making and socialising then this is the project for you! YC Hertfordshire is the new name for Youth Connexions.

Galaxy Youth Project, Rickmansworth

The Galaxy Youth Project runs every Thursday night at the Youth Centre in Rickmansworth. It's for young people aged 13–17 who have a mild learning disability, need a boost in self-confidence or would benefit from being in a small supportive environment.

M&M Youth Project, Bishop’s Stortford

The YC Hertfordshire M&M Project at the Bishop’s Stortford Young People’s Centre for young people aged 13-17 with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It's a safe place where you can make friends, learn new skills, relax and have fun! We meet every Thursday evening 7.30-9.30pm.

Megamix Youth Project, Stevenage

Megamix is a YC Hertfordshire youth project for young people with additional needs aged 13-24. It's based at the largest youth centre in Hertfordshire - the Bowes Lyon Young People's Centre in Stevenage on Tuesday evenings.

Monk's Walk Autism Project, Welwyn Garden City

The YC Hertfordshire Monday Evening Autism Project at Monk's Walk Young Poeple's Centre is an exciting project for young people aged 13-17 with Asperger’s Syndrome or autism. If you'd like the opportunity to meet others, join in discussions and take part in activities such as sports, cooking, arts & crafts, and socialising, then this group is for you!

Snappy G's Youth Project, Hitchin

There are loads of great activities at Snappy G's - and you decide what they are! Are you a young person aged 13-17 with a learning disability or a young adult aged 18-24 with a learning disability? If so Snappy G's is the YC Hertfordshire youth project for you! It's based at the Bancroft Young People's Centre in Hitchin and runs on Monday evenings.

Starburst Youth Project, Watford

Watford 'Starburst' is a YC Hertfordshire project with a focus on young adults with learning disabilities aged 18-24. Come along to YouthPoint on Tuesday evenings to take part in a range of activities including drama, arts and crafts and cooking, in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

Supernova Project, Rickmansworth

The YC Hertfordshire Supernova Project for Young Adults with Learning Disabilities runs every Monday night at the Rickmansworth Young People's Centre in Northway. It's for young adults aged 18-24 who have a mild learning disability and would like a boost in self-confidence or would benefit from some support.

Zodiac Youth Project, Watford

The YC Hertfordshire Zodiac Youth Project is for young people aged 13-17 with learning disabilities. It's a place where you can make friends, learn new skills, relax and have fun! It runs every Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm.
