Become an employer mentor with YC Hertfordshire

If you could help to inspire young people to achieve their goals, why not consider becoming a mentor with YC Hertfordshire?

The YC Hertfordshire mentoring scheme is open to local employed and self-employed people and is designed to support students across Years 8, 9 and 10 who are at risk of disengaging or underachieving in their studies. Its aim is to give them support and encouragement and inspire them to explore their career options.

All of our mentors receive full training and support. We ask that they give at least one hour of their time every two weeks, for at least six months. The mentoring takes place during the school day at the school.

The scheme launched in early 2017 with funding from The Careers and Enterprise Company and it aims to help at least 250 young people across Hertfordshire over the next three years.

If you feel that you would like to help young people in your community, mentoring is a brilliant opportunity to inspire and motivate the workforce of the future.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor or you'd like to discuss what's involved, please get in touch by emailing yc.iag@hertfordshire.gov.uk, calling 01438 843610 or by completing this form:
