Young explorers from Watford took to the countryside around Berkhamsted during June and July to take part in their Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award practice expeditions, setting off from YC Hertfordshire’s centre at Hudnall Park.

Young parents across Watford and Three Rivers are celebrating the successful completion of the Plus One programme run by YC Hertfordshire this week - which has seen them take part in a 20-week course designed to help them manage the challenges of becoming new parents, as well as empowering them to progress into further education, employment or training.

This summer more than 900 young people aged 16 to 17 will take part in a four-week National Citizen Service (NCS) programme with YC Hertfordshire to help build resilience, learn new skills and prepare them for adulthood.

Young people who are experiencing anxiety and stress in the run up to exams can now get the support and advice they need through a series of drop-in sessions across the county. The sessions are run by Safe Space, a service which usually offers counselling in schools, at a number of YC Hertfordshire venues.
